DIY “The Munchies” Hanging Bird Feeder

You should have:

8 Boards

1 Screen

4 Chain and eye bolt combos

16 2” Nails (extras included)

8 2½” Nails (bundled, extras included)

1 Key Ring

Assembly Instructions:

Building the bottom- marked numbers will face up, use 2½” nails

Step 1: Attach piece 1 to piece 2 by making sure to match the stars on each piece. Then drive a nail through each of the corresponding pre-drilled holes in piece 1. 

Step 2: Attach piece 3 to piece 1 making sure to match circles on each piece. Then drive a nail through the remaining pre-drilled holes in piece 1.

Step 3: Attach piece 4 to pieces 2 and 3 in the same way you completed step 2. Match the shapes. Drive the nails.

Building the top- marked numbers will face down, use 2” nails 

Step 4: Attach piece 5 to piece 6 by making sure to match the hearts on each piece. Then drive a nail through each of the corresponding pre-drilled holes in piece 5.

Step 5: Attach piece 7 to piece 5 making sure to match ovals on each piece. Then drive a nail through the remaining pre-drilled holes in piece 5.

Step 6: Attach piece 8 to pieces 6 and 7 in the same way you completed step 5. Match the shapes. Drive the nails.

Putting it all together

Step 7: Sandwich the screen between the top and bottom frames. Be sure to put piece 5 on top of piece 2. Use caution, the edges of the screen may be sharp. Then drive the 2” nails through the pre-drilled holes in the bottom.

Step 8: Take each chain and eye bolt combo and screw into the top pre-drilled holes. 

Step 9: Slide each chain end onto the key ring.

Step 10: Get baked! Get creative with paint or stain, or simply place your birdfeeder wherever you would like and enjoy whatever comes your way. Sunflower seeds work best in this type of feeder.
